Marvelous Monday ~ Kids Say The Darndest Things

I am always surprised at some of the things that kids say, but their innocence and logic is astoundingly wonderful. Here are a few quotes that I have come across that made me smile and laugh:

A first grade teacher presented to her class the first half of a well known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders. Their insight may surprise you. While reading these keep in mind that these are first graders, 6-year-olds, because the last one is classic!

1. If you lie down with dogs, you'll......stink in the morning

2. Happy the bride who.....gets all the presents

3. A penny saved is.....not much

4. When the blind lead the blind.....get out of the way

And the best one of all...

5. Better late than .....pregnant

A child's logic is amazing, especially if they think it will get them something that they want, lol. Here is a little mind bending logic from my friend's 6 year old nephew:

"Chocolate comes from a bean, beans are vegetables, so chocolate is a vegetable."

A few more just to brighten your day:

1. A little girl asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Said the little girl, "If you don't remember you must look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six."

2. A little girl had an earache and wanted a painkiller. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a childproof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's me?"

3. A little boy was watching his Mom breast feeding his new baby sister. After a while he asked: "Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and one for cold milk?"

Kids definitely say the darndest things!!!
